Members-only content and premium zones

Not everything has to be for everyone. Sigma lets you close selected content to signed-in readers or tier holders - and leave the rest of the site wide open. That is how a contact base and content revenue are built.

On the editorial side it is one field on the content: visibility. “Everyone” works like an ordinary article, “members” requires an account, “restricted” - a specific tier. No separate pages, no copies of content, no extra plugins. The same editor, the same list, one more decision.

The reader sees an invitation, not a wall

A guest receives a teaser: the introduction you choose yourself and a clear nudge to create an account or pick up a tier. The closed part of the text never leaves the site - it cannot be peeked at or uncovered with any browser trick. A paying reader receives something genuinely exclusive.

  • You set the teaser with a single line in the editor
  • You edit the invitation messages like any other site text
  • On lists, closed content carries clear badges

From a newsletter to a subscribers' club

A members-only zone is the natural first step: it builds a contact base and gets readers used to coming back. Paid tiers are step two - courses, archives, club materials. Both models run on the same content, in the same editor, with no change to how the editorial team works.

Content revenue grows gradually and predictably: you start with one tier and differentiate the offer over time. The site does not limit the strategy - it follows it.

In this demo installation sign-in is enabled. Articles badged “Members only” open as soon as you create an account, while the “Premium” badge marks material for tier holders.

Key takeaways

  • You close selected content to signed-in readers or plan holders and leave the rest of the site wide open.
  • You draw the preview line with a single element in the editor, and closed content carries clear badges on lists.
  • The reader sees an invitation with an incentive, not a wall - that is how a contact base and content revenue grow.
