WPP in Poland publishes salary ranges: from PLN 4.8 thousand to PLN 17 thousand gross
The advertising holding company provides salary ranges in job postings for its agencies, even though Polish law does not require them to be published in the job ad itself. Companies and candidates in the marketing industry get a concrete point of reference.
WPP's Polish branch publishes salary ranges in external recruitment ads. This was reported today by Wirtualnemedia.pl (opens in a new tab). The rule covers, among others, WPP Media (including Wavemaker, Mindshare, EssenceMediacom and T&P), the agencies VML and Ogilvy, and the PR agency Burson. The ranges appear on WPP's careers page and in listings on LinkedIn, Pracuj.pl and RocketJobs.
The lowest ranges start at PLN 4,808 gross per month. A media assistant at WPP Media can earn up to PLN 6,375, while a junior media planner at Wavemaker can earn up to PLN 7,917. A senior media planner at Wavemaker and an art director at VML have ranges from PLN 8,500 to PLN 17,042. Copywriters at T&P and VML receive offers in the range from PLN 6,333 to PLN 12,500. At Burson, a junior account executive can expect about PLN 6-6.5 thousand, while a senior account executive or account manager can expect PLN 8.5-11 thousand. In some offers for technology specialists, VML gives hourly rates of about PLN 110 to PLN 200.
WPP notes that these are indicative ranges. The final salary depends on experience, qualifications and scope of responsibility. The company fills some senior positions internally first.
Transparency of pay rates in job ads is a well-thought-out, long-term decision of the entire WPP company in Poland.
From 24 December 2025, the Labour Code requires that a candidate learn the starting salary or its range: in the job ad, before the interview, or at the latest before the employment relationship is established. This is the first stage of implementing EU Directive 2023/970 on pay transparency, whose implementation deadline passed on 7 June 2026. The regulations do not require the amounts to be published in the job ad itself, so WPP is doing more than the law requires.
Burson's rates are close to the medians from the spring survey by the Association of Public Relations Firms: PLN 5,800 for a junior account executive, PLN 8,000 for a senior account executive and PLN 10,540 for an account manager. For employers in the industry, this is a point of reference when setting their own ranges, and for candidates it is material for a conversation about salary.
