The Intelligent UI feature works with the GPT-6 model and is rolling out to all plans, including free ones. Simple calculators, comparisons and maps can now be created directly in the chat window.

OpenAI launched the Intelligent UI feature in ChatGPT on October 7. The GPT-6 model combines text with charts, tables, forms, buttons and maps in a single response. The model itself assesses when this form will help, and when text is enough, it responds with text. The change is reported by, among others, Wirtualne Media (opens in a new tab) and Spider's Web (opens in a new tab).

OpenAI showed several examples. Product comparison takes the form of a side-by-side overview, while the construction of a seven-speed bicycle is a clickable diagram with descriptions of the frame, drivetrain or brakes. A meal plan recalculates the shopping list after the number of guests changes, and a travel route is placed on a map with suggested stops. At the user's request, ChatGPT also builds simple tools, such as a retirement savings calculator, a restaurant bill splitter or a game, without moving to other websites.

Paid Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans received the feature on October 7. In the Enterprise plan, its availability depends on the administrator's settings. From October 8, it is also rolling out to Free and Go plans. Paid plans use the GPT-6 Sol model, free plans use GPT-6 Luna. The change applies only to chat. Models in ChatGPT Work and Codex remain unchanged.

Google introduced a similar solution, Generative Interface, in 2025 together with Gemini 3. According to Gizmodo, it did not help Google clearly stand out from the competition. Gizmodo also points out that interactive elements may use up a user's limits faster, and an error in a chart looks more convincing than an error in text. VKTR, a service writing about AI in business, warns that tools generated by AI create an impression of credibility, which makes it harder for employees to verify data. According to Android Authority, the user can limit the number of visualizations in responses.

Analytical and marketing teams can therefore prepare simple comparisons and calculators in the chat itself, but the numbers in them must be checked just like in text responses.
